Some time ago, people had a set of encyclopedia in their home and when they wanted to know about something, they looked it up. Today, with things changing so fast, we would see those books as never being up to date compared to what we find now on the internet. Now, the encyclopedia is online and it known as Wikipedia. This is where many people will go first when they want to learn about a certain topic.
Lets say some student is doing a report on a law firm in Chicago. They will begin with a long list of firms to choose from and once they have chosen one they can then uncover details about that firm’s practice or about personal injury trial lawyers in particular.
Wikipedia would tell them about Philip H. Corboy of the Corboy & Demetrio firm who is the founder, along with Thomas A. Demetrio. This student’s report could mention that Phil Corboy has pretty much transformed the practice of personal injury law and that he is a mentor and teacher to generations of leading lawyers today. There is plenty of information about his accomplishments from publications, his honorary Doctor of Law Degree and numerous honors from religious organizations.
